Shawano's Cafe has good burgers priced right. The place is a family restaurant which is open and very bright inside. It's a basic dining room with plenty of seating, but a seperate bar room is attached. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have pies in a case up front, and they serve breakfast all day. We all had burgers which were topped off nicely with quality fixings. The patties had good flavor. I ordered the big boy which clocks in at one pound. They have to use a bread bowl for the bun in order to contain it all. They definitely did not deliver a medium rare burger as ordered. It was medium well, but the bun was a crispy and buttery, so with the bacon and cheese it did not read dry. It's probably more like eating two and a half normal burgers because of the bun size. It's definitely not for the average bear. Without a grizzly appetite like mine, best to step away and avoid the walk of shame, little cub.
Excellent food at reasonable prices in a new building. The parking lot is always full for a reason. But don’t be scared away by the crowds. There is a LOT of seating inside. We visited when it was busy and the food came out in a reasonable time. The pie is really good. Well worth the calories!
The food was delicious as always! The portion is good for what you pay. Today our waitress was Megan. She should teach how to waitress. She did an excellent job! She was attentive, asked the right questions, and personable, even though the dining room and the overflow rooms were full.
Family style restaurant with excellent food and service. The food was delicious. The service was helpful and very friendly. The server we had was on top to care about our meal and checked in frequently. Our server went out of her way to get us a pitcher of soda. The restaurant is easily located just off the Highway 29, exit 225. Plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible. Located on the north side, westbound lanes from the highway. I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu includes a decent affordable price for a family style restaurant. It's definitely a five-star rating without a doubt.
Great food and staff. A hidden gem. We will be back. Deep fried mushrooms are excellent and so was the bacon cheeseburger and fries.

It was very busy when we stopped for lunch, but everything was great. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly considering how packed they were. It was a nice visit for a busy fish fry Friday!
